On Texas's "Homosexual Conduct Law" »
Late yesterday evening, I saw this stuff coming down, and it looked like snow. So, later, around 2 a.m., I went out to go for a short stroll, thinking, Oh, it'll be pretty. No, sir. What it was was gray and cold (but not, apparently, cold enough) and squooshy. It hadn't snowed, it had slushed. It was as if someone had taken slush paste and spread it over everything so it sunk into all the niches and dips and low points in the ground and on the street and all over town, so that if you strayed from the high ground just one step, shplosh, your boots were slushed. Just like the rest of the neighborhood.
It was, like, a bummer.
