If you're using Internet Explorer v. 6 for Windows (as some 35 percent of this site's visitors apparently do), you will note that the strange text-centering phenomenon (of which I myself, an oh-so-chic Macintosh user, was heretofore unaware) has (I think) been put to an end.
Many, many thanks for his assistance in identifying this absurd behavior to one Dan O'Brien, who told me what it was exactly he was seeing. Dan is also the author of this site's (just-published) second guest-submitted work of fiction, "Green-Apple Envy". I'm grateful to Dan for both of his contributions.
On a final site-related note, I've added a question and answer to the FAQ, this one for a question actually asked of me:
Do you have a tip jar?
No. But if you want to make some sort of donation to support my efforts, I heartily encourage you to buy yourself any of the books or other works I describe here. ...
I have sought to mute the shamelessness of my profiteering by hiding that page fairly deeply; I confess, however, that I will be grateful for any contributions earned thereby. (I will earn a referral fee from Amazon.com for each purchase.) And if even a few good souls find something there that they like but that they may not have adequately investigated before, well, that would be excellent indeed.

Well, yes, it was centered. I just assumed that's what you'd intended. And now it's not. Funny, ish.
Happy birthday, by the way, cap'n!
